CBD FAQ

What is the Endocannabinoid system?

The endocannabinoid system is a biological network of receptors spread throughout the immune system, nervous system, digestive system, endocrine system, brain and more. The role of the ECS is to create homeostasis or balance within the body and to protect you from responding negatively to changes in your environment.

What is CBD oil?

CBD or (Cannabidiol) is one of 113 compounds or (cannabinoids) found in cannabis plants. Cannabinoids work with your endocannabinoid system to create homeostasis or balance.

Will CBD get me high?

CBD is non-psychoactive and will not get you high. In fact, it is considered extremely safe and will counteract the psychoactive or stoned feeling you get from THC.

CBD VS THC

Both are compounds found within the cannabis plants and both are unique because they bind to G-protein receptors and unlock cells.

CBD

Modulates or conditions the cell back to it's original state of homeostasis.

THC

Is responsible for the psychoactive or stoned feeling you get from cannabis. It's often used by those who have chronic illness or chronic disease and need help to manage with loss of appetite and pain sensations.

Hemp vs. Marijuana

There are 3 main strands of Cannabis plants however, Hemp and Marijuana are the most popular. Both cannabis plants are different in makeup and the way they function.

Hemp

Has a lot of CBD and less than .3% THC, so you're not going to get stoned or high. Hemp was recently declassified by the Federal Government as a drug.

Marijuana

Will get you stoned or high because it has a lot of THC. This is why Marijuana is illegal unless you have a medical marijuana card or live in a state that allows recreational marijuana.

Is CBD legal?

CBD is legal to purchase without a medical marijuana card so long as it is derived from the industrial hemp plant and contains less than .3% THC.

Will I fail a drug test using CBD?

Drug test look for THC, not CBD. However; Full Spectrum Hemp CBD contains small traces of THC which may show up on a drug test. Pure CBD or CBD Isolate with Zero THC is an option for those who are drug tested.

How does CBD make you feel?

Simply put, most people say CBD makes them feel balanced. This is because of how CBD works with your own body's endocannabinoid system to create homeostasis.

How much CBD should I take?

CBD should be treated just like any other nutrient. Your body can only use so much before wasting the rest. We recommend starting out taking 8mg-16mg of CBD twice a day. Stick to this dose for 3 days before increasing by double.

Dosing with CBD

Please see the pictures below to understand how to dose with CBD

 1oz or 30ml Tinctures

Dosing with CBD

  • 1000mg Tincture divided by 30ml bottle = 33mg of CBD per ml or serving. Reduce from "full tincture" to "half tincture" to get 16mg of CBD
  • Do the same math for 250mg/500mg etc. For example....
  • 500mg divided by 30ml = 16mg of CBD per ml. Half of a tincture or 1/2ml = 8mg of CBD

Are there side effects with taking CBD?

Hemp plants are non toxic and allergies are rare however; there are carrying oils for CBD that you might be allergic too. We always recommend customers to speak with their doctor before using any new product.
